about

Musically inspired by Ennio Morricone's Spaghetti Western soundtracks, 'The Good The Bad and The Ugly', 'Once Upon a Time in the West' and 'A Fistful of Dollars' etc.

We wanted to take real life contemporary subject matter and drop it into the context of a Spaghetti Western, emersing the listener in a kind of narrative emotional journey in which key characters experience betrayal, hardship, revelation but ultimately justice and retribution. Leaving the listener with a sense of optimism. The kind of stuff a viewer might experience from watching a Sergio Leone film in which good ultimately triumphs over bad.

The music combines a classical nylon guitar motif with chugging electric guitars and a menacing vocal hook.

It's use of a middle key change and combination of various timbres felt like a step into the unknown for us and ultimately our proudest moment on the EP.

lyrics

Pulled the wool over eyes told us lies said we’d be best without them
Filled our heads with fake news while they swore things would work out in the end
Did they think all these lies would take away our concrete skies?

Take the fools on a drive while they cheat let’s make it so so real
They can cry all they want but it will all soon be so so real
Is it such a surprise we still live under concrete skies?

Sometimes the world feels so cold, so cold
Are we weak to feel petrified or just wise?
Sometimes the world feels so cold, so cold
Are we wrong to live a life of lies? We’ve been sold
Sometimes the world feels so cold

We sit back and obey, ignore the way we all really feel
Marching orders that way, how do we all really feel?
Did we hear what they said when they sold us the deal?
Did we hear what they said as we sat back and yield?

Sometimes the world feels so cold, so cold
Are we weak to feel petrified or just wise?
Sometimes the world feels so cold, so cold
Are we wrong to live a life of lies? We’ve been sold
Sometimes the world feels so cold

See the light follow love
See the light follow love
Take a chance make it right
See the light follow love

If we look we shall find
See the light it won’t lie
Take a chance move away
Follow love leave today
If we seek we shall find
See the light we’re not blind
Leave this place we won’t stay
Take a chance it’s ok

Sometimes the world feels so cold, so cold
Are we weak to feel petrified or just wise?
Sometimes the world feels so cold, so cold
Are we wrong to live a life of lies? We’ve been sold

Sometimes the world feels so cold, so cold
Are we weak to feel petrified or just wise?
Sometimes the world feels so cold, so cold
Are we wrong to live a life of lies? We’ve been sold
Sometimes the world feels so cold
