Don’t get all righteous, in this city of sin It’s no place to think you’re immune from within Let temptation tempt you Follow the trail Down the path of regret Where we’re bound to fail And when the time comes it will find you again Guide you to the place you know best Let’s take a ride, take a trip see inside of your thinking And we’ll find that our world is all wrong Let’s fall asleep till we find what we seek We’ll be drifting And we’ll wake to find it’s all gone Don’t try to force it or fight from within It calls the shots when it’s time to begin More than a feeling Or some state of mind It crawls through your insides And when the time comes it will find you again Guide you to the place you know best Let’s take a ride, take a trip see inside of your thinking And we’ll find that our world is all wrong Let’s fall asleep till we find what we seek We’ll be drifting And we’ll wake to find it’s all gone Let’s take a ride, take a trip see inside of your thinking And we’ll find that our world is all wrong Let’s fall asleep till we find what we seek We’ll be drifting And we’ll wake to find it’s all gone No more lies No more lies No more lies No more lies No more

about

The track was originally written in 2018, as a free flow of the sub conscious. Our intention was to create a dark psychedelic track full of melodrama, something akin to Hans Zimmer's sound tracks and The Smith's 'How Soon is Now'.
The original incorporates snippets of a sampled dialogue (from the 1950s) between Dr Sidney Cohen and philosopher Gerald Head discussing the effects of LSD on a house wife. Both the vocal and instrumental versions do not contain this sample.

HYMNS London, UK

Plucking from a wealth of genres and pop culture references, HYMNS make epic and ethereal rock songs that exist to enlighten and energise all who bear witness. With thick Baritone vocals and rousing choral hooks, their music is appropriately bittersweet. ... more
